Research Study on Design and Use of Smart Home Devices for Remote Patient Monitoring  

We are recruiting participants to take part in a study conducted by our research team at the University of Waterloo about the preferred use and design of smart home systems for remote patient monitoring. It will be short interview consisting of 4 questions and can be done either in person (we will meet you at your preferred location), or online over a video call. The whole process is expected to take 15 minutes or less. 

To participate in this study, you must be a family doctor or nurse practitioner in Canada and 18 years of age or older. Participation in this study is voluntary. Your responses will be anonymized and your contact information (i.e., email address) will be kept confidential and removed after the study. You will have the opportunity to enter yourself in a draw for an Amazon Gift Card, valued at $100, in that case we will remove your contact information after the draw. Only if you consent, we will keep your email to share our future related studies with you. 

Your participation in this study will be extremely valuable and will help inform design of smart home devices and social robots that can monitor people’s physical and mental health.
