Presentation Awards
- To recognize outstanding presentations at the Waterloo Student Conference in Statistics, Actuarial Science and Finance, we are very excited to offer six prizes valued at 500$ CAD. The co-chairs and supervising faculty will appoint judges from the current Waterloo faculty, who will grade the contributions. The presentations will be graded on their scientific value and delivery quality, with roughly equal weights assigned to each criterion. There will also be additional points for the speakers’ ability to present within their allotted time. The prizes will be announced at the end of the conference, where the award recipient will receive a certificate along with a monetary prize. The contest is open to all speakers who participate in the conference.
Travel Awards
- A limited number of travel awards are available to participants who are external to the University of Waterloo and are presenting at the conference. More information, and how to apply, can be found on our travel awards web form.
