“What does culture mean to you?” A participatory art project with Mélika Hashemi that prompts its users to define their ‘culture’ through colourful cardstock cutouts shaped as letters from a hybrid alphabet. 

The 2nd annual Onkwehón:we Festival will focus on current Haudenosaunee artistic and cultural practices in both contemporary and traditional forms. The performances and events will be multi-disciplined and be of the highest calibre featuring: dance, music, theatre, visual arts, film, and workshops.

SAIL will be making mono-prints based on medicinal plants.

Every year the residents of Kitchener’s Cherry Park neighbourhood gather to celebrate the fruit that shares its name.

The biggest draw is the food, like cherry cheesecakes, pies, tarts, struedels, ice cream...

SAIL will be printmaking with stamps and stencils using farm animal themed motifs to compliment the Service Centre’s Petting Zoo.

SAIL will be making musical instruments alongside the Grand Porch Party.

The Kitchener-Waterloo Multicultural Festival is held annually in Kitchener’s Victoria Park and provides our community with an opportunity to share food, fun, music and dance.
