Create your legacy. Support their dreams.
With a gift of $10,000 (which can be made over 5 years), you can establish an annual undergraduate award in your name, or in honour or memory of someone special. A gift of $20,000 will create a graduate award.
One hundred per cent of your gift is directed to your award fund. Your gift can be designated to any faculty or University-wide.
Creating a named student award at Waterloo delivers a measurable and immediate impact by:
- attracting, enabling and rewarding deserving students
- easing their financial stress
- inspiring and motivating students to believe in themselves
- putting them on the path to success through experiential learning (co-operative education, exchange programs, etc.)
- providing access to a world-class education that fosters innovation and ideas
Let us recognize you in our Circles and Societies
Waterloo’s Circle Program celebrates the most generous among our annual supporters, while our Laurel Society honours individuals who indicate they are making a planned or deferred gift. Discover the benefits of our recognition programs.
Create a named endowment
Endowed gifts are invested in perpetuity in order to create ongoing annual named awards. They require a minimum gift of $40,000 for an undergraduate award and $50,000 for a graduate award.
Triple your gift: name an Ontario Graduate Scholarship
The Government of Ontario offers a two-to-one match for your donation to Ontario Graduate Scholarships (OGS). Establish a named OGS** trust for $5,000 per year for four years, or an endowment with an annual expendable of $5,000. OGS is valued at $15,000 per year ($5,000 donation plus $10,000 in matching funds).
**For as long as the Government of Ontario’s OGS program exists
