The University of Waterloo is proud to announce that it is the host institution for the newly created Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) of Canada. To celebrate the launch of SDSN Canada, we are hosting two days of workshops to explore ways to increase collaboration and develop long-term transformational pathways for sustainable development in Canada towards Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals. The Launch will also feature a keynote lecture by Professor Jeffrey Sachs, Special Advisor to United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres on the Sustainable Development Goals.

The University of Waterloo’s Faculty of Environment (Canada’s largest Faculty of Environment) is the host for SDSN Canada, in partnership with the Waterloo Global Science Initiative. In this role, in partnership with academic, government and industry partners from across Canada, SDSN Canada will share knowledge, activate research and help solve the interconnected economic, social, and environmental challenges confronting Canada and the world.
