Jeffrey Sachs recently visited uOttawa to speak on the crucial role that universities can play in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals in Canada.

Professor Sachs identifies three ways he believes universities contribute to achieving the SDGs. Through teaching students gain not only expertise, but a knowledge-base and the motivation to act. Through research, which create innovation and solutions. Finally through leadership, by integrating the SDGs into the university structure and encouraging their communities to do the same.
