We are pleased to have hosted our second workshop on ‘SDGs Localization’ on October 26th, focusing on community engagement and the SDGs. The workshop featured a presentation and discussion with Lisa Attygalle, Consulting Director on Community Engagement with the Tamarack Institute.
Lisa shared many insights on:
- Methods and tools for doing effective community engagement on the SDGs (see the Index of Community Engagement Techniques and the Community Engagement Planning Canvas (PDF)).
- Design processes that are accessible and 'leave no one behind' (see Beyond Engagement: Equity in Public Engagement (PDF)).
- How to bring diverse groups together and have conversations in polarized communities (see Co-defining your dilemma (PDF)).
Our next SDGs Localization Community of Practice call will take place on November 30 at 1:00 PM ET. If you haven’t registered to our Community of Practice and would like to participate in upcoming conversations, please make sure to sign up through the website.
This workshop is part of the SDGs Localization Community of Practice co-founded by SDSN Canada and the Tamarack Institute. This community is free to join and works to facilitate peer-learning and resource sharing to accelerate the work of localizing the SDGs in Canada.
