We are excited to welcome Jacqueline Ouellette (Communications Coordinator) and Ceileigh McAllister (Youth Network Coordinator) to the SDSN Canada team! Both are joining as part-time staff, bringing a wealth of communications and student engagement experience.

Jacqueline Ouellette is a Ph.D. Candidate in Sustainability Management at the University of Waterloo. At Wilfrid Laurier University, Jacqueline attained her MA in Communication Studies after her BA in Communication and Film Studies. As a co-op student throughout both degrees, she had the opportunity to fulfill communication roles in fields including e-learning, environmental journalism, and renewable energy. Her previous research has focused on the use of social media in environmental justice movements, while her current research discusses COVID-19 government communications via social media. Her upcoming research project investigates sustainable lifestyles and online forums, as they interact with collective identities and culture.

Ceileigh McAllister is an undergraduate student at the University of Waterloo in the School of Environment, Resources, and Sustainability. In addition to her studies, she is the co-chair of the Sustainability Literacy Initiative at the University of Waterloo. She is passionate about climate education and embedding sustainability in the curriculum in the post-secondary setting. In the past, Ceileigh has worked for Climate Reality Project Canada supporting municipal and post-secondary climate action programs.
