SDSN Canada is currently looking for a young leader with experience in project management, community mobilization and/or stakeholder engagement, to lead and coordinate all its SDSN Youth activities in the Waterloo region and Canada. SDSN Youth educates young people about the challenges of sustainable development and creates opportunities for them to use their creativity and knowledge to pioneer innovative solutions for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) was launched by the former UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon in 2012 with a mandate to mobilize scientific and technological expertise to solve the world’s most challenging problems and create a more sustainable society by 2030. Much of SDSN’s work is led by National or Regional SDSNs, which mobilize knowledge institutions around the SDGs in their country/region.

  • Through SDSN Youth you will also engage with more than 140 other young people from more than 30 different countries, including students from Harvard, Oxford, LSE, Sciences Po, Monash and Columbia universities, and young professionals working in:
    • UN agencies/programs (UNICEF, UNEP, UNDP, UN-Habitat, etc)
    • Research institutions (Carbon Trust, DALE, Climate Policy Initiative, TERI, MSDI, etc)
    • Government departments (Environment, Education, City/State, EU, etc)
