Description: This training session provides practical advice on how to develop knowledge mobilization plans for successful grant proposals, which is becoming increasingly important in Tri-Council Agency and other granting agencies. This webinar features two experts in grant development from the University of Saskatchewan. The presentation is based on the knowledge mobilization framework developed by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), the principles of which can be adapted and applied broadly to NSERC, CIHR and other funding proposals. It includes in-depth examples demonstrating successful approaches to writing knowledge mobilization plans for grant proposals.

Learning objectives:

  • What is knowledge mobilization and what are granting agencies looking for in grant proposals
  • How to appropriately scope your knowledge mobilization plan
  • How to integrate your knowledge mobilization plan into the rest of your proposal
  • Strategies for documenting success and evaluating the effectiveness of your knowledge mobilization plan

Who should take this training: Researchers at any stage in their career who want to learn strategies for pitching their project to its best advantage. This session will be useful to those who want to learn more about writing knowledge mobilization plans for grant proposals.
