About Dominic Barton
Dominic is celebrated for his profound strategic insights and unparalleled expertise in business, governance and economic development. As Waterloo’s former Chancellor from 2018-2024, elected by the University’s Senate, he presided over convocation ceremonies, conferring degrees to graduates and serves as the University's leading ambassador. Dominic has held leadership positions at McKinsey & Company, served as Canada's Ambassador to China and currently chairs LeapFrog Investments and Rio Tinto.
