Dr. Barbara Caffery graduated from the New England College of Optometry in 1977. In 2009, she completed her Ph.D. in Vision Science at the University of Waterloo after defending her thesis, Sjogren’s Syndrome: A Clinical and Biochemical Analysis. She has published widely in the areas of contact lenses and dry eye disease. She retired from clinical practice in 2023 and continues to hold a research position at Toronto Eye Care. She is currently enrolled in the MFA programme at Pacific University.
