Dr. Derek Y. Ho (MD, PhD) trained in medicine at Sun Yat-sen University and earned a PhD in Vision Science from the University of Waterloo. He is passionate about turning good ideas into practical tools for eye care and enjoys discussions with the next generation of clinicians and researchers. His current work centers on innovation in perimetry and structure-function in glaucoma to improve healthcare, designing and refining methods to help detect change earlier and with more confidence. He has contributed to 3 clinically deployed perimetry devices and collaborates widely to move innovations from bench to clinic.
