Dr. William Ngo received his OD (2011) and PhD (2016) from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Alabama, Birmingham (2017-2019). His research integrates computational, wet-lab, and clinical methods to uncover how aging and inflammation at the ocular surface, translating laboratory insights into improved diagnostics and treatment strategies for dry eye and meibomian gland disease in aging patients.
Dr. Ngo's work helps optometrists better understand the biological roots of ocular surface disease and apply evidence-based care that improves patient comfort and outcomes.
