The University of Waterloo is consistently ranked as Canada’s most innovative university but our HR technology has fallen behind. To address this, the University is in the midst of a large program to improve processes and implement technologies that better support HR’s goals. Key elements of this program involve re-visiting all major processes and replacing the core HR system with Workday. When complete, the goal is to greatly improve the user experience across campus while enabling future growth and innovation.
In this session Kim Snage (Director, HR Projects, Technology & Analytics) and Daryl Dore (Director, ERP Systems) will provide an overview of the program and an update on key milestones.
Special emphasis will be placed on the project activities that support:
- Engaging the campus community
- Improving the user experience
- Reviewing and optimizing processes
- Using data to make better decisions
- Modernizing our technology landscape and making it more adaptable to change
