It is with great sadness that on Thursday, November 29, 2018 Frank Brookfield passed away peacefully in his Waterloo home.

Frank Brookfield was one of four faculty and staff members that helped to establish the Biology-Earth Sciences Museum back in 1967. Frank curated the Biology-Earth Sciences Museum with curator emeritus, Peter Russell, until he retired in 1994 but his interest and support for the museum continued throughout his life.

The Earth Sciences Museum is so very thankful that Frank played such a supportive role of the museum over the years. With the donation of the Russian Cave Bear and support to many of the museum exhibits as well as his help at the annual UW Science Open house, throughout the years, Frank has helped inspire thousands of young biology and earth enthusiasts.

Frank, you will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by the staff and volunteers at the Earth Sciences Museum.
