Students who want to study Music must first apply and be accepted to the University of Waterloo.

How to apply to Waterloo

Online application forms:
You are encouraged to apply online at Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC).

Paper application forms:
Ontario high school students should inquire at your high school's guidance office.

Entrance auditions

Students electing to take Music Studio must arrange for an audition before registering. Typically a level of performance equal to Grade Eight at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Toronto is expected.

Early entrance auditions (for high school students considered for the Entrance Scholarships) will be held in March/April.

Ensemble auditions

Visit our ensembles website for audition dates and other information. Sign-up sheets for auditions are posted on the bulletin board outside the Music office (Conrad Grebel University College at room 1104) before the start of each term.
