The Sandford Fleming Foundation (SFF) supports six different competitions held throughout each year for undergraduate engineering students at the University of Waterloo:
- Sandford Fleming Foundation Debates
- Sandford Fleming Foundation Technical Speaking
- Junior Team Design
- Senior Team Design
- Consulting Engineering
- Innovative Design
These five competitions, together with the Innovative Design Competition, are held with the Waterloo Engineering Competition (WEC) around Week 8 of the Spring and Fall calendar terms. In addition, Sandford Fleming Foundation Debates and the Sandford Fleming Foundation Technical Speaking Competitions are held separately during the Winter calendar term.
