Food Policy

The sale of food on campus is not permitted by our clients.  UW Food Services manages the food safety on campus and requires any food provided to be approved in advance to mitigate risk of food borne illness.

Please note, for shows with an intermission we frequently have our concession open which sells water, juice, pop and snacks.  If you would like to ensure that the concession is open during your event, please contact Melissa Zarnke.

If you would like to provide food free of charge there are a few scenarios depending on where the food is being provided from:

  •  Food provided by a licensed vendor/ business
    • To have your vendor approved please contact the rentals coordinator and Mike Carbage at food services with the Vendor/ Business name.
    • If the vendor has not already been approved by Food Services, Mike Carbage will also need their business license number and a copy of their latest health inspection that was conducted by the region.
  • Food provided by an unlicensed vendor
  • Commercially package foods are not considered hazardous, as they require no special heating, cooking, or holding temps. They can be held and consumed at room temperature without risk. A vendor application does not need to be filled out in this instance.
