Peer Support Session for Department Chairs and School Directors

Description
Being a Department Chair or School Director might be the best academic leadership role on campus, and most challenging. The breadth of responsibilities and the limited sources of real authority means that chairs have to muster a range of leadership skills and strategies to handle many different issues, ranging from long-term strategic planning to immediate crises.
This session will connect new and experienced chairs across the institution for mutual support and advice. We convene a panel of experienced chairs and directors to help answer your questions and to generate discussion among the group. Bring your questions or send them in advance– together we can do this!
