Emily Rutledge is a research assistant with the Aging and Innovation Research Program since January 2021. Emily has supported various projects, notably in examining technology acceptance and adoption among persons living with dementia and their support workers. Her work also explores scale development and improving first response strategies for persons living with dementia who go missing.
Emily is pursuing her Master of Health Administration (MHA) at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She is a recent graduate from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Health Science, minoring in Gerontology and through a co-operative education stream. Emily hopes to integrate her research and academic background to improve continuing care systems and the quality of care for older adults across Canada.
