Overview
Amazon’s Academic Research Initiatives (ARI) team is visiting the University of Waterloo to present their Build on Trainium (BoT) program, which is offering $110 million in AWS credits to support academic researchers in AI, ML, DL, and compiler-related fields.
This 1-hour lunch seminar will introduce the Trainium and Inferentia chips, designed for high-performance, cost-effective deep learning training and inference. The session will cover architecture, system capabilities, and programming models using the Neuron SDK and Neuron Kernel Interface (NKI).
Following the session, Amazon’s ARI team is available for 1-on-1 research discussions with faculty.
