University of Waterloo student founders are leveraging Velocity’s GPU server to quickly test and develop AI-driven products despite limited resources. Access to GPUs, crucial for processing large datasets, enables startups like Wave and AutomaxAI to accelerate innovation. Wave, founded by Dhriti Gabani and Suhani Trivedi, uses GPU power to improve epilepsy diagnosis by training on extensive brain wave data, while Humza Ahmed’s AutomaxAI applies GPUs to enhance property appraisals through computer vision. This server access enables cost-effective innovation, supporting student founders in bringing their products to market.
