A Velocity health-tech startup, MedInclude, has partnered with Grand River Hospital (GRH) to enhance patient-provider communication in the Renal Program through its AI-powered platform. This three-month pre-commercialization project aims to simplify medical jargon, translate materials into multiple languages, and introduce voice-to-text and text-to-voice capabilities, improving accessibility for patients with limited English proficiency.

MedInclude’s platform empowers patients to make informed decisions and enables health-care providers to deliver more efficient, inclusive care. Following successful pilots with organizations like KidsAbility, this collaboration reflects GRH’s commitment to fostering innovation and inclusivity in health care. MedInclude seeks to expand its reach nationwide, bridging communication gaps and setting new standards for patient-centered care.
