This past weekend (March 4-5th), with generous support from Waterloo.AI and through a snowstorm, a contingent of University of Waterloo students representing three design teams had a strong showing at the Canadian Undergraduate Conference on Artificial Intelligence (CUCAI) held at Queen's University.
Nineteen students from WAT.ai, Watonomous and WATOLink were able to present and demo 7 AI projects to 300+ attendees across Canada and 12 industry sponsors.
Competing against 56 other groups of undergraduates from universities across Canada in the AI design project & research showcase, the UW design team from WATOLink won the Best Demo Award. The students successfully represented the UW spirit and won many other accolades including several TVs and a VR headset.
