The recent workshop hosted by the Waterloo Artificial Intelligence Institute (Waterloo.AI) and St. John’s-Kilmarnock School (SJK) on “Generative AI in K-12 Education” was a resounding success, bringing together a dynamic community of educators, researchers, and industry professionals to explore the transformative potential of generative AI in primary and secondary education. With a strong turnout of 171 attendees, the event showcased a collective enthusiasm and eagerness to harness AI’s capabilities in shaping the future of education.
