Ryan Cloutier
Ryan Cloutier is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at McMaster University. Ryan completed his PhD at the University of Toronto before taking up a postdoctoral fellowship and a Banting Fellowship at the Center for Astrophysics, Harvard and Smithsonian. In 2022, Ryan moved back to Canada and took up his current position at McMaster University. Ryan's research focuses on the detection and characterization of the galaxy's most common planets around its most common stars. His interests are in using a variety of observational techniques to measure the properties of super-Earths and sub-Neptunes to understand how these planets form and whether their surface conditions may be hospitable for life.
