This week, we're thrilled to introduce improvements in how you connect epics with bugs, stories, and tasks within company-managed projects. Atlassian is introducing the new Parent field, aligning your project organization experience with that of team-managed projects.

Here's what's fresh:

• The Parent field is now seamlessly integrated into the creation of schemes and layouts.
• Bid farewell to the Epic link and Parent link fields; they've been replaced with the comprehensive Parent field across issue views, issue creation, and workflow transitions.
• Consistency is key, and now the Add parent feature, previously exclusive to team-managed projects, is available in company-managed issue views.
• Furthermore, the parent JQL function has been enhanced to encompass the functionalities of the epic link, parent link, and parent Epic functions, making Jira queries even more streamlined.
