Streamline Your Jira Projects with the New List View Feature

Exciting news!

Atlassian is thrilled to introduce a brand-new feature to streamline your Jira Software project management experience: "the List View". This addition promises to enhance the ease and efficiency of planning, grooming, and tracking tasks within your projects. If you're familiar with Jira Work Management and Business projects, you'll recognize this intuitive view. Let's delve into its core functionalities:

Key Features:

Accessibility:

  • Available to All: The List View will be accessible to all Jira Software customers, regardless of their license type.

  • Project Compatibility: It seamlessly integrates with both Team-Managed and Company-Managed projects.

  • Default Activation: The List View will be activated by default and readily visible in the side navigation.

  • Administrative Control: Admins can easily toggle the feature on or off in Project Settings > Features.

Functionality:

  • Project Scope: Tailored to individual Software projects, the List View operates independently of the Board. Initially, all project issues will be displayed, with the option to apply filters within the view.

  • User-Friendly Filters: Enjoy the convenience of applying quick filters such as "Assigned to Me" and refining searches by specific fields like Issue Type, Status, Label, Sprint, and Story Points.

  • Streamlined Navigation: The List View simplifies issue tracking by presenting a flat list of issues without any parent-child nesting.

  • Scrum Project Support: For Scrum projects, an "Active Sprints" quick filter is readily available, showcasing all issues within an open sprint.

  • Effortless Organization: Group issues by Status, Assignee, Priority, Story Points, and Sprint (when applicable) for enhanced clarity.

  • Expand/Collapse Functionality: Gain insights into task relationships by expanding or collapsing parent and child issues, effortlessly accessible through the three-dot menu.

  • Customizable Columns: Tailor the view to your preferences by reordering, hiding, or sorting issues based on custom columns.

  • Enhanced Flexibility: In Team-Managed projects, create and add new fields directly within the project context, eliminating the need for configuration screen navigation.

With the List View, managing your Jira Software projects has never been more efficient.
