New in Confluence

  • Previously to grant read-only access space administrators had to choose between restricting the space and requesting a license for every read-only user and granting anonymous access to anyone with the space URL, which did not require a license. Now space administrators can utilize anonymous access and page restrictions to allow authenticated access to specified users and groups without requiring users to have a Confluence license. For more information on how to achieve this please submit a support request.
  • All users with a Confluence license have been automatically granted a personal space. Users can choose to restrict their personal space permissions to themselves or share with team members, https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/customize-your-personal-space/.

New in Jira Service Management & Assets

  • Previously when a user had a friendly email address and created a Jira Service Management issues through email, Jira Service Management could not identify the user as the same user using their WatIAM email address. This resulted in users being unable to view issues they created when logged in to customer view. Jira Service Management will now replace the friendly email address with the WatIAM address to resolve this issue.
  • Assets object fields can now be added directly to Forms in Jira Service Management. Previously these fields had to be added directly to the request type. Assets objects fields allow users to access Assets objects directly from the issue view.
  • There is a new ‘Lookup table’ automation action. This allows you to create pairs of keys and their associated values that can then be referenced in later actions, https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Automation-articles/New-Automation-action-Create-lookup-table/ba-p/2311333.
  • Use embeddable Jira Service Management links to let your customers raise requests, view a portal, and read help articles right from Confluence or Jira. Simply copy and paste the URL to embed them into a Confluence page or Jira issue. When you’ve pasted the required link into Confluence or Jira, it displays as an inline link by default. To change how it is displayed, select the link and choose the appropriate display option (URL, inline, card, or embed) from the floating toolbar that appears.

New in Jira Software

  • Previously work for scrum teams could only be planned using sprint dates in the project roadmap view. Explicit dates can now be assigned to issues on a project roadmap while preserving sprint assignments.
