The Waterloo Artificial Intelligence Institute has recognized and celebrated the Uwaterloo Big Data Research Lab for its exceptional interdisciplinary excellence. This recognition underscores the lab's pioneering research and collaborative achievements in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).

It is with greatest sadness that we inform you of the passing of Kai Liu.  He was an incredible part of the team and we will dearly miss his brightness and positivity.

Congratulations to Yixuan Li, she has been been hired as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Anthropology, Economics and Political Science at MacEwan University. 

Professor Chen has been invited to represent Uwaterloo Big Data Research Lab, and as a leading Artificial Intelligence and Big Data expert to join the panel of judges in CIC Robotic Championship, organized by World Artificial Intelligence Conference.

Sining Wang, a post-doctoral research fellow in our lab, has got an offer from the Case Western Reserve University which is the top-ranked private research university in Ohio and one of the best in the U.S. Located in Cleveland, Ohio.
