Eligibility
- Full-time undergraduate students enrolled in Year Four and undertaking a fourth-year Capstone Design project
- One award given to an electrical engineering team
- One award given to a mechanical engineering team
- Selection to be based on project proposals that, in the opinion of the selection committee, demonstrate an innovative electrical project in the power sports industry, with a preference for projects focused on energy storage systems and power electronic design related to electric propulsion systems
- Winning student groups may have the opportunity to consult with BRP Inc., a proud University of Waterloo co-op employer
Application deadline and selection process
- October 27, 2023 (Fall term) - student team in mechanical engineering can apply
- June 14, 2024 (Spring term) - student team in electrical engineering can apply
- Interested student groups can apply by completing the following application form
- A Faculty of Engineering selection panel will review all applications and determine the winning group
Value
- BRP Inc. will provide two awards valued at $10,000 each
- The total award funds will be divided equally among the winning team members
