BRAKE EVEN
Vehicle handling is limited by the forces that the tires can deliver to the ground. Our device will use aerodynamics to improve upon this. Our device counteracts the natural body roll movements of the vehicle and reduces the forces that the tires have to absorb. We aim to make our device universally mountable to any vehicle and to cater to both the average driver who wants to improve vehicle safety, and the enthusiast who wants to improve vehicle handling and response for performance purposes.

OMNINAV
Currently, the World Health Organization estimates the number of visually impaired people in the world to be 285 million, 39 million of which are fully blind. This population of the world does not have easy access to new technologies that assist with navigation. We are designing a “smart” belt specifically catered to assisting the visually impaired with navigation. An Android app takes directional information using voice commands and conveys the required direction via Bluetooth to four vibration motors placed at cardinal directions on the belt.

AUTOFUEL
The AutoFuel project explores the option of improving the automotive experience for consumers by automating the refueling process. This technology already exists in the mining and aerospace industries, but is quite expensive, and has not been adapted for the wider commercial market. The AutoFuel system aims to allow users to refuel their vehicle without exiting it. This is done by addressing four main tasks in the refueling process: detecting the fuel door, opening/closing the fuel door, removing/replacing the fuel cap, and inserting/removing the fuel nozzle.

NOLNEBRIATE
In Canada, there were over 70,000 reported and substantiated cases of impaired driving between 2006 and 2014. Thirty four percent of fatal accidents are caused by impaired drivers, in Canada, the most of any developed nation. While many have rallied to mitigate this, it is still a significant issue. For these reasons, a “preliminary detection tool” that can be used by both the public and police force for detecting impaired drivers was deemed necessary. Based on our research, a hand held breathalyzer with accompanying mobile application was the best for solving the problem statement while also adhering to all constraints as well as reducing the market price of this product.

AUTOCOMPLEAT
We are autocompleat, dedicated to creating a solution for automated clothes folding - the only part of the laundry process that remains unautomated. Given that the average household spends 30 to 50 minutes per week folding laundry, which in itself is a highly repetitive task, we see enormous potential in the automation of this process. As such, our goal is to design a product that can automatically fold a t-shirt with minimal human interaction, and thereby lighten the load of having to do laundry.

INMŌSHN
Walking, driving, or public transit are not always the most effective and efficient ways to cover short commutes. Short commutes are those which are short enough to skip driving or public transit, but long enough to consider alternatives to walking. For example, short drives by car or bus are prone to traffic, and train stations are not always near our destinations. To provide the answer, InMōshn is developing an electric longboard solution that is both portable and cost effective.
