Eligibility
·Full-time undergraduate students enrolled in Year Four of the Geological, Environmental or Civil Engineering program in the Faculty of Engineering and undertaking a fourth-year Capstone Design project.
·Selection to be based on projects presented at the upcoming capstone project symposium, happening in March 2025, that, in the opinion of the selection committee, are most innovative in the field of geological engineering.
·A Faculty of Engineering selection committee will review all projects presented at the March 2025 Capstone Symposium and determine the winning team.
o Recipients will be chosen based on the following criteria: Novelty of the project
o Quality of demo/proof of concept
o Clarity on the problem being solved
Application deadline and selection process
No application is necessary, but participants will be required to share their project at the 2025 Capstone Symposium.
Final selection will be made by the Faculty of Engineering appointed selection committee during the March 2025 Capstone Symposium.
BGC Engineering staff members will be given the opportunity to present the award.
Value
One Award valued at $5,000. The selection will be made in March 2025.
Award funds will be divided equally among each team member.
