Eligibility
- Full-time undergraduate students enrolled in Year Four of any program in the Faculty of Engineering and undertaking a fourth-year Capstone Design project
- Selection to be based on project proposals that, in the opinion of the selection committee, are focused on renewable energies
- Recipients will be chosen based on the following criteria:
- Novelty of the project
- Quality of proof of concept
- Clarity on the problem being solved
- Winning student groups may have the opportunity to consult with industry mentors from e-Zinc if they have specific questions

Value
- Li Zhang and e-Zinc will provide one award valued at $3,500. The total award funds will be divided equally among the winning team members.
