Online resources
Online resources include teaching tips, videos, and various social media platforms.
In the 2023-24 fiscal year, we added ten new videos to the CTE YouTube channel, including sessions from the University of Waterloo Teaching and Learning Conference and other presentations on PebblePad, WatCV, and extended reality technologies. The total number of resources on the CTE YouTube channel is 189, with some of those videos accumulating tens of thousands of views.
We developed new resources for our repository of Teaching Tips — such as Exam Wrappers: Meta-Cognitive Questions to Help Students Reflect on Their Exams — but we also undertook an intensive review of our existing 160 Teaching Tips to update them based on recent evidence-based practices. Our review of our 160 Teaching Tips will be completed in the new fiscal year.
