Alexander Stöckli

Safety Representative
Alexander Stöckli

Hello! My name is Alexander Stöckli, and I’m a second year PhD student working in the Corrigan Group. I worked with John before at the University of Western Ontario where I received my master’s degree for my work with azide-decorated silver nanoclusters. The focus of my current research is synthesizing modified mithrenes, which are 2D semiconductor materials which luminesce blue under UV light. I’m also working on some cluster materials using zinc and cadmium with selenolates, which will hopefully generate some interesting luminescent materials. I’m originally from New Brunswick, and my interests include road-tripping, board and video games, listening to music, putting puzzles together, and cooking/baking. As safety rep. for CGSS, I’m open to hearing any safety concerns brought to my attention, and discussing strategies for risk management. See you around!
