Hello! My name is Alexander Stöckli, and I’m a first year PhD student working in the Corrigan Group. I worked with John before at the University of Western Ontario where I received my master’s degree for my work with azide-decorated silver nanoclusters. The focus of my research now is synthesizing modified mithrenes, which are 2D semiconductor materials which luminesce blue under UV light. I’m originally from New Brunswick, so naturally I enjoy road-tripping and beaches. I also enjoy playing board and video games, listening to music, putting puzzles together, and cooking. I’m also trying to pick up new languages, mostly focusing on German, so ‘Nett, dich kennenzulernen’!
