Úna Hogan

Hi all, my name is Úna and I’m the CGSS EDI Representative. I’m a 3rd year PhD Candidate working in Professor Rodney Smith’s group. My research centres on using machine learning and Raman spectroscopy to classify microplastics in the great lakes. I’m an international student from England, and as your EDI representative, I am a point of contact for amplifying marginalised voices in science. In my spare time outside of research, I love travelling and trying new food and drinks!
