MSc in Building and Urban Design in Development. Before starting my PhD I worked as an urban planner and podcast producer. My research focus on invisibilities in the development of urban AI and the creative use of geoinformation technology by grassroots.
I graduated with a BA from UBC in Human Geography and a Minor in Urban Planning, specializing in GIS and Indigenous studies. I currently work for the Government of Canada creating fiscal policy and data projections for Self-Governing Indigenous Communities. My current MSc research focuses on geospatial data gaps in the federal government and its implications on targeted policies.
I have a bachelors of environmental studies in Planning with a specialization in GIS and land management. My research focus is on how government Open Data is being used by different organizations in their operations. Outside of my research, I like to spend my time playing board games, going to concerts, and urban exploration.
