The CEE Friend of Grads Award recognizes a faculty or staff member (including lab instructors) annually who has gone above and beyond to contribute to the overall experience of graduate students in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. In particular, the Award seeks to celebrate a faculty/staff member who has taken direct actions to help CEE graduate students uphold at least one of the following attributes:
- Equity and inclusion
- Mental health awareness and advocacy
- Environmental stewardship
The CEE Friend of Grads Award is jointly presented by the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Civil and Environmental Engineering Graduate Association (CE2GA). The winner each year is invited to receive a certificate at the CEE Awards Ceremony in the winter term.
