How do we feel about climate change?
When: November 16th, at 7:00 PM (in person)
Where: Central Library, 85 Queen St N, Kitchener
Event Description
How we feel about climate change is really important - so we need to think about it and measure it.
There are a lot of words being used to describe how we feel about climate change: worry, anxiety, eco-anxiety, decreased well-being, and so on. These words are very general and some might say subjective. But it’s really important to capture how people are feeling about climate change. We will chat about why this is, how we can do it, how you can help, and how doing this can make change in the face of climate change.
This talk will be led by Susan Elliott, Professor of Geography and Environmental Management. Susan Elliott's research interests are environment and health, the global environment, urban social geography, and philosophy and method in the social sciences.
