Angela Carter
Dr. Angela Carter is an Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador as well as a Senior Associate with the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD). Carter has analyzed environmental policy and politics surrounding oil extraction in Canada’s major oil producing provinces. Now she is focused on understanding and amplifying new national bans on oil extraction that foster equitable transitions. Carter is an award-winning author who has published widely in scholarly journals while also regularly offering policy research insights to media and governments. Website: www.angelavcarter.ca

Chukwumerije Okereke
Professor Chukwumerije Okereke is Professor of Global Governance and Public Policy, with a particular focus on climate justice, in the School of Policy Studies at the University of Bristol. He is a Visiting Professor at the London School of Economics and Senior Academic Visitor at the University of Oxford, UK. Professor Okereke is also Director of the Center for Climate Change in Alex Ekuweme Federal University, Nigeria, and previously Co-Director of the Center for Climate and Justice at the University of Reading. He was also previously Director of the Center for Climate Change and Development at the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment at the University of Oxford. A globally recognized scholar on global climate governance and international development, Prof Okereke was the Coordinating Lead Author of the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Sixth Assessment Report, Working Group 3.
