To wrap up the ALARM exhibition, downtown Kitchener's THEMUSEUM hosted an evening dialogue organized in partnership with 50 by 2030 Waterloo Region.
The ALARM Dialogues: A Climate Conversation was an event to continue to "ring the alarm" on our climate emergency. The event was livestreamed on Jan 27th, 2021, and provided a deep dive into why the 50 by 30 is such an important target and movement for our community. The speakers shared solutions for building a more just and green economy and explored ways for community members to get involved and take climate action.
The event featured speakers from IC3 (including faculty from UWaterloo’s Faculty of Environment), activists and community stakeholders as they weighed in on this past year of sounding the ALARM and the changes that we still need to make. Presentations from each of the IC3 members are available for viewing on the 50by30WR website.
