Post-Workshop Call to Action

The last session of the day aimed to encourage discussion on how we can all engage and contribute to public dialogue on climate change in Canada, particularly related to the upcoming federal election and COP21 event. The following ideas emerged from the workshop… hopefully you can add a few of these to your list!
  • Did something strike a chord with you last Friday?  Write a blog post or op. ed. about it!
  • Read, endorse, and share the Acting on Climate Change position paper released by Sustainable Canada Dialogues (follow them at @dialogsustainab)
  • Pick up and read a copy of Alternatives Journal Special Issue "Canada’s Map to Sustainability" featuring the SCD position paper.
  • If you are a course instructor, think about ways to engage students in projects or thought exercises on this topic in the spring or fall terms.
  • Call/write/visit your MP or a candidate for the upcoming federal election to share your views on climate and energy issues in Canada.
