The list highlights young Canadians who are working hard and finding creative ways to help build a sustainable future. This year's list of amazing sustainability leaders in Canada includes Manvi Bhalla, Graduate President of UWaterloo's Climate Students and graduate student in the School of Public Health & Health Systems.

“The climate crisis is an interdisciplinary, multi-system issue which requires not only innovative solutions within a variety of disciplines, but a renewed appreciation for a more collectivist approach. By centring collaboration and by increasing the use of valuable contributions from individuals and communities with diverse backgrounds, we mitigate siloing and are able to come at this issue from all angles. To this effect, I am excited to be the Graduate President of the student-arm of the Interdisciplinary Centre on Climate Change, called Climate Students, at the University of Waterloo. With a team full of young individuals with diverse backgrounds and interests, who range across a number of faculties, we look forward to creating meaningful change for this issue within our community.”
