Comments & discussion
- Does this impact all web applications that the campus uses or just public facing ones?
- Just public facing applications.
- The report on compliance needs to be filed by December 31, 2017.
- There are fines involved if the report is filed late; more substantial fines if no report is filed at all (the University has filed yearly reports since 2005).
- The Information and Communication aspect for this report will only cover IST this year.
- Faculties and other admin support areas are welcome to do their own environmental scans of their respective departments but are not obligated to at this point.
- Members can contact Joyce Barlow if they have any questions.
Office 365 for Staff/Faculty
Dave Hinton showed the committee the Office 365 Portal and apps that come with it, which will be available to all Faculty and staff by the end of August. Hinton also provided an update on the Office 365 project. Topics included:

- Questions

Comments & discussion
- Staff and faculty will not get access to an email account or Skype for Business via Office 365 (both are already provided in other ways).
- Graduating students will have continued access to the their email account on Office365 but all other features (Office, OneDrive, etc.) will be removed from their accounts 16 months after they are last considered a student.
- Researchers and postdoctoral researchers will have access as long as a Connect account is created for them.
Chair’s Remarks (Steven Bourque)
- The Chair thanks the committee for their support as he takes on official Chair duties.
- The Chair will look for ways to make this committee more productive; including, but not limited to the standing item for faculties to bring topics to the meetings.
- More to come on this process.
- Daryl Dore, Director, Enterprise Systems, ERP, was introduced to the committee.
