Quantum Dual-Use Technology Researcher Roundtable
As part of ongoing discussions between the National Research Council (NRC) and the University of Waterloo about Canada’s current emphasis on research for dual-use quantum technologies, you are invited to an informal researcher discussion session. Please join us on Thursday, February 26 (12 - 1:30 PM EST) to connect and network with your colleagues from Waterloo and NRC, supported by the Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC). This meeting is part of the existing NRC-Waterloo Collaboration Centre, which already coordinates a wide variety of such collaborations.
The purpose of this roundtable is to establish connections between Waterloo and NRC researchers working in the quantum dual-use technology sector and to further develop our foundation for future opportunities in dual-use applications.
The key Quantum areas of focus are the following:
- Quantum Enhanced Radar
- Space Domain Awareness (SDA)
- Secure Communications
- Alternative PNT (Positioning, Navigation and Timing)
- Quantum Computing Algorithms
Please join us if you are available. The roundtable will be held in person at the University of Waterloo, and a virtual option will also be available for those who cannot attend in person.
