Waterloo people named to the Order of Canada

Four people with strong links to the University of Waterloo were among the newest appointees to the Order of Canada.

Donna Strickland, a physics and astronomy professor and recipient of the 2018 Nobel Prize in Physics was named a Companion of the Order of Canada.

Stuart McGill, professor, kinesiology, Paul Born, founder and chief executive officer of the Tamarak Institute which is based at the Kindred Centre for Peace Advancement at Conrad Grebel University College, and Anne Innis Dagg, known for her pioneering work in zoology and animal behaviour, were appointed Members of the Order of Canada.
