The Emerging Radio Systems Group is recruiting for three positions on a Ka-band satellite communication project with C-COM Satellite Systems Inc., covering anti-jamming for low-Earth-orbit terminals. All three are at postdoctoral fellow or research associate level.
The roles divide the project by layer. One covers the RF and antenna design of the phased array itself. One covers the digital signal processing that drives it: adaptive beamforming and nulling, blind-search anti-jamming, and subspace direction-of-arrival estimation feeding real-time null placement. The third covers the over-the-air Ka-band testbed, its measurement campaigns and its jammer emulation.
Appointments are for one year, renewable, beginning September 2026 or earlier, at 1.0 FTE. The work is based at the University of Waterloo or at C-COM’s Waterloo site, and compensation is commensurate with experience.
