About

Alireza Salehiyan is currently pursuing the PhD degree in electrical and computer engineering at the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, ON, Canada. He is with the Emerging Radio Systems Group under the supervision of Prof. Slim Boumaiza. His work focuses on power-efficient phased-array and beamforming architectures for satellite communication systems, with emphasis on lens-based active arrays, gradient-index electromagnetic lenses, wide-angle beam steering, RF front-end/system-level co-design, and array calibration.
